¹³ “You are the salt of the earth; but ^(A)if the salt has become tasteless, how ^[a]can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by people.

³⁴ “Therefore, salt is good; but ^(A)if even salt has become tasteless, with what will it be ^[a]seasoned? ³⁵ It is useless either for the soil or the manure pile, so it is thrown out. ^(B)The one who has ears to hear, ^[b]let him hear.”
