⁴ Now ^(A)this ^[a]took place so that what was spoken through ^[b]the prophet would be fulfilled:

⁶ The disciples went and did just as Jesus had instructed them, ⁷ and brought the donkey and the colt, and laid their cloaks on them; and He sat on ^[c]the cloaks. ⁸ Most of the crowd ^(C)spread their cloaks on the road, and others were cutting branches from the trees and spreading them on the road. ⁹ Now the crowds going ahead of Him, and those who followed, were shouting,

³⁵ And they brought it to Jesus, ^(A)and they threw their cloaks on the colt and put Jesus on it. ³⁶ Now as He was going, they were spreading their cloaks on the road. ³⁷ And as soon as He was approaching, near the descent of ^(B)the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of the disciples began to ^(C)praise God ^[a]joyfully with a loud voice for all the ^[b]miracles which they had seen, ^38 [c]shouting:

The Triumphal Entry

¹² On the next day, when ^(A)the large crowd that had come to ^(B)the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, ¹³ they took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet Him, and began shouting, “^(C)Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, indeed, the ^(D)King of Israel!” ¹⁴ Jesus, finding a young donkey, sat on it; as it is written: ¹⁵ “^(E)Do not fear, daughter of Zion; behold, your King is coming, seated on a donkey’s colt.”
