⁵⁴ And ^(A)He came to ^[a]His hometown and ^(B)began teaching them in their synagogue, with the result that ^(C)they were astonished, and said, “Where did this man acquire this wisdom and these ^[b]miraculous powers?

³³ When the crowds heard this, ^(A)they were astonished at His teaching.

²² And ^(A)they were amazed at His teaching; for He was teaching them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

² And when the Sabbath came, He began ^(A)to teach in the synagogue; and ^[a]the ^(B)many listeners were astonished, saying, “Where did this man learn these things, and what is this wisdom that has been given to Him, and such ^[b]miracles as these performed by His hands?

¹⁸ And the chief priests and the scribes heard this, and they ^(A)began seeking how to put Him to death; for they were afraid of Him, because all ^(B)the crowd was astonished at His teaching.

³² and ^(A)they were amazed at His teaching, because ^(B)His ^[a]message was delivered with authority.

⁴⁶ The ^(A)officers answered, “^(B)Never has a man spoken in this way!”
