³⁶ I tell you that on the day of judgment^(A) people will have to account^(B) for every careless word they speak.^[a]

¹⁴ The sower sows^(A) the word.^(B)

⁴⁷ I will show you what someone is like who comes to Me, hears My words, and acts on them:^(A)

²¹ But He replied to them, “My mother and My brothers are those who hear and do the word of God.”^(A)

Prologue

²² So when He was raised from the dead,^(A) His disciples remembered that He had said this.^(B) And they believed the Scripture^(C) and the statement Jesus had made.

³² They said this so that Jesus’ words might be fulfilled signifying what kind of death He was going to die.^(A)

¹¹ The people here were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, since they welcomed the message with eagerness and examined the Scriptures^(A) daily to see if these things were so.

¹⁵ Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who doesn’t need to be ashamed, correctly teaching the word of truth.^(A)

¹² For the word of God is living and effective^(A) and sharper than any double-edged sword,^(B) penetrating as far as the separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is able to judge the ideas and thoughts of the heart.^(C)
