¹⁵ Truly I say to you, ^(A)it will be more tolerable for the land of ^(B)Sodom and Gomorrah on ^(C)the day of judgment, than for that city.

³⁹ And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that of ^(A)everything that He has given Me I will ^(B)lose nothing, but will ^(C)raise it up on the last day.

³¹ because He has set ^(A)a day on which ^(B)He will judge ^[a](C)the world in righteousness ^[b]through a Man whom He has ^(D)appointed, having furnished proof to all people ^[c]by ^(E)raising Him from the dead.”

⁵ who are ^(A)protected by the power of God ^(B)through faith for ^(C)a salvation ready ^(D)to be revealed in the last time.

The Coming Day of the Lord

^3 (A)Know this first of all, that ^(B)in the last days ^(C)mockers will come with their mocking, ^(D)following after their own lusts,

⁷ But by His word ^(A)the present heavens and earth are being reserved for ^(B)fire, kept for ^(C)the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly people.

²⁵ not abandoning our own ^(A)meeting together, as is the habit of some people, but ^(B)encouraging one another; and all the more as you see ^(C)the day drawing near.
