⁸When the crowd saw this, they were filled with awe; and they praised God,^(A) who had given such authority to man.

⁸But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.

¹⁷When he said this, all his opponents were humiliated,^(A) but the people were delighted with all the wonderful things he was doing.

¹⁷And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.
