43 He says to them, “How then does David by[a] the Spirit call Him ‘Lord’, saying [in Ps 110:1], 44 ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Be sitting on My right side, until I put Your enemies under Your feet”’? 45 Therefore if David calls Him ‘Lord’, how[b] is He his son?”

43 He said to them, “How is it then that David, speaking by the Spirit, calls him ‘Lord’? For he says,
44 “‘The Lord said to my Lord:
“Sit at my right hand
until I put your enemies
under your feet.”’[a](A)
45 If then David calls him ‘Lord,’ how can he be his son?”
