¹³ Pilate then called together the chief priests and ^(A)the rulers and the people,

³⁵ And ^(A)the people stood by, watching, ^(B)but ^(C)the rulers ^(D)scoffed at him, saying, ^(E)“He saved others; ^(F)let him save himself, ^(G)if he is ^(H)the Christ of God, ^(I)his Chosen One!”

You Must Be Born Again

3 Now there was a man of the Pharisees named ^(A)Nicodemus, ^(B)a ruler of the Jews.

²⁶ And here he is, ^(A)speaking openly, and they say nothing to him! Can it be that ^(B)the authorities really know that this is the Christ?

^48 (A)Have any of the authorities or the Pharisees believed in him?

⁴² Nevertheless, ^(A)many even of the authorities believed in him, but ^(B)for fear of the Pharisees they did not ^(C)confess it, so that they would not be ^(D)put out of the synagogue;

¹⁷ “And now, brothers, I know that ^(A)you acted in ignorance, as did also your rulers.

⁵ On the next day their rulers and elders and scribes gathered together in Jerusalem,

⁸ Then Peter, ^(A)filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders,

²⁷ For those who live in Jerusalem and their rulers, because ^(A)they did not recognize him nor understand ^(B)the utterances of the prophets, which are read every Sabbath, ^(C)fulfilled them by condemning him.
