²⁴ For as the lightning flashes from horizon to horizon and lights up the sky, so the Son of Man will be in His day.^(A)

⁵ turn that one over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh,^(A) so that his spirit may be saved in the Day of the Lord.^(B)

¹⁴ as you have partially understood us—that we are your reason for pride,^(A) as you are ours,^(B) in the day of our^[a] Lord Jesus.^(C)

¹⁶ Hold firmly to^[a] the message^(A) of life. Then I can boast^(B) in the day of Christ^(C) that I didn’t run or labor for nothing.

²² But now He has reconciled you by His physical body^[a] through His death,^(A) to present you holy, faultless,^(B) and blameless before Him^(C)—
