¹² Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb. Bending over, he saw the strips of linen lying by themselves,^(A) and he went away,^(B) wondering to himself what had happened.

⁴⁴ The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen,^(A) and a cloth around his face.^(B)

Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.”

⁵ He bent over and looked in^(A) at the strips of linen^(B) lying there but did not go in.

⁷ as well as the cloth that had been wrapped around Jesus’ head.^(A) The cloth was still lying in its place, separate from the linen.
