³⁰ I then ^(A)will destroy your high places, and cut down your ^(B)incense altars, and ^[a]pile your ^[b]remains on the ^[c]remains of your idols, for My soul will loathe you. ³¹ I will turn your cities into ^(C)ruins as well and make your ^(D)sanctuaries desolate, and I will not ^(E)smell your soothing aromas. ³² And I will make ^(F)the land desolate ^(G)so that your enemies who settle in it will be appalled at it. ³³ You, however, I ^(H)will scatter among the nations, and I will draw out a sword after you, as your land becomes desolate and your cities become ruins.

²⁶ I ^(A)call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today, that you will ^(B)certainly perish quickly from the land where you are going over the Jordan to take possession of it. You will not ^[a]live long on it, but will be utterly destroyed.

⁴⁵ “So all these curses shall come upon you and pursue you and overtake you ^(A)until you are destroyed, because you would not ^[a]obey the Lord your God by keeping His commandments and His statutes which He commanded you.

¹⁵ And God sent an angel to Jerusalem to destroy it; but as he was about to destroy it, the Lord saw and ^(A)was sorry about the catastrophe, and said to the destroying angel, “It is enough; now relax your hand.” And the angel of the Lord was standing by the threshing floor of ^[a]Ornan the Jebusite.
