⁴² You are to live in booths^(A) for seven days. All the native-born of Israel must live in booths, ⁴³ so that your generations may know that I made the Israelites live in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt; I am Yahweh your God.”

¹¹ Uriah answered David, “The ark, Israel, and Judah are dwelling in tents, and my master Joab and his soldiers^[a] are camping in the open field. How can I enter my house to eat and drink and sleep with my wife? As surely as you live and by your life, I will not do this!”^(A)

¹² When Ben-hadad heard this response, while he and the kings were drinking^(A) in the tents, he said to his servants, “Take your positions.” So they took their positions against the city.

⁶ and there will be a booth for shade from heat by day, and a refuge and shelter from storm and rain.^(A)
