⁶ They shall be ^(A)holy to their God and not profane the name of their God, for they offer the offerings of the Lord made by fire, and the ^(B)bread of their God; ^(C)therefore they shall be holy.

⁸ Therefore you shall ^[a]consecrate him, for he offers the bread of your God. He shall be holy to you, for ^(A)I the Lord, who ^(B)sanctify you, am holy.

¹⁷ “Speak to Aaron, saying: ‘No man of your descendants in succeeding generations, who has any defect, may approach to offer the bread of his God.

²¹ No man of the descendants of Aaron the priest, who has a defect, shall come near to offer the offerings made by fire to the Lord. He has a defect; he shall not come near to offer the bread of his God.

²² He may eat the bread of his God, both the most holy and the holy;

²⁵ Nor ^(A)from a foreigner’s hand shall you offer any of these as ^(B)the bread of your God, because their ^(C)corruption is in them, and defects are in them. They shall not be accepted on your behalf.’ ”

² “Command the children of Israel, and say to them, ‘My offering, ^(A)My food for My offerings made by fire as a sweet aroma to Me, you shall be careful to offer to Me at their appointed time.’

^7 (A)When you brought in ^(B)foreigners, ^(C)uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in My sanctuary to defile it—My house—and when you offered ^(D)My food, ^(E)the fat and the blood, then they broke My covenant because of all your abominations.
