³ I will also set My face against that man and will cut him off from among his people, because he has given some of his ^[a]children to Molech, ^(A)so as to defile My sanctuary and ^(B)to profane My holy name.

^13 (A)Anyone who touches a dead body, the ^[a]body of a person who has died, and does not purify himself, ^(B)defiles the ^[b]tabernacle of the Lord; and that person shall be cut off from Israel. Since the water for impurity was not ^(C)sprinkled on him, he will be unclean; his uncleanness is still on him.

²⁰ ‘But the person who is unclean and does not purify himself, that person shall be cut off from the midst of the assembly, because he has ^(A)defiled the sanctuary of the Lord; the water for impurity has not been sprinkled on him, so he is unclean.

¹¹ Therefore as I live,’ declares the Lord God, ‘Because you have ^(A)defiled My sanctuary with all your ^(B)detestable idols and with all your abominations, I definitely will also withdraw and My eye will have no pity, and I also will not spare.

¹⁷ “Son of man, when the house of Israel was living on their own land, they ^(A)defiled it by their ways and their deeds; their way before Me was like ^(B)the uncleanness of a woman in her impurity.
