²⁶ Wherever you live, you must not eat the blood^(A) of any bird or animal.

Eating Blood and Carcasses Prohibited

¹⁰ “Anyone from the house of Israel or from the aliens who reside among them who eats any blood,^(A) I will turn^[a] against that person who eats blood and cut him off from his people.

¹⁴ Since the life of every creature is its blood, I have told the Israelites: You are not to eat the blood of any creature,^(A) because the life of every creature is its blood; whoever eats it must be cut off.

²⁶ “You are not to eat anything with blood in it.^[a](A) You are not to practice divination^(B) or witchcraft.^(C)

¹⁶ but you must not eat the blood; pour it on the ground like water.^(A)
