17 If someone does wrong and violates one of the Lord’s prohibitions without realizing it, that person is guilty(A) and shall bear the penalty. 18 The individual shall bring to the priest an unblemished ram of the flock, at the established value, for a reparation offering. The priest shall then make atonement on the offerer’s behalf for the error inadvertently and unknowingly committed so that the individual may be forgiven. 19 It is a reparation offering. The individual must make reparation to the Lord.

17 “If anyone sins and does what is forbidden in any of the Lord’s commands, even though they do not know it,(A) they are guilty and will be held responsible.(B) 18 They are to bring to the priest as a guilt offering(C) a ram from the flock, one without defect and of the proper value. In this way the priest will make atonement for them for the wrong they have committed unintentionally, and they will be forgiven.(D) 19 It is a guilt offering; they have been guilty of[a] wrongdoing against the Lord.”(E)
