⁵ You are to slaughter^(A) the young bull^(B) before the Lord, and then Aaron’s sons^(C) the priests shall bring the blood and splash it against the sides of the altar^(D) at the entrance to the tent of meeting.

⁵ The animals you choose must be year-old males without defect,^(A) and you may take them from the sheep or the goats.

¹⁹ you must present a male without defect^(A) from the cattle, sheep or goats in order that it may be accepted on your behalf.^(B)

²⁰ Do not bring anything with a defect,^(A) because it will not be accepted on your behalf.^(B)
