⁴⁵ None of the good promises the Lord had made to the house of Israel failed. Everything was fulfilled.^(A)

⁵⁶ “May the Lord be praised! He has given rest^(A) to His people Israel according to all He has said. Not one of all the good promises He made through His servant Moses has failed.^(B)

God’s Covenant with David

⁴ They are Israelites,^(A) and to them belong the adoption,^(B) the glory,^(C) the covenants,^(D) the giving of the law,^(E) the temple service,^(F) and the promises.^(G)

⁸ For I say that the Messiah became a servant of the circumcised^[a] on behalf of God’s truth,^(A) to confirm the promises to the fathers,^(B)

7 Therefore, dear friends, since we have such promises,^(A) let us cleanse ourselves from every impurity of the flesh and spirit,^(B) completing our sanctification^[a] in the fear of God.^(C)
