The Voice
12 So now I ask that you give me this hill country the Eternal spoke about on that day. You heard then how the Anakim were there with great fortified cities, and so they are still. Because the Eternal goes with me, I will drive them out, just as He has said.
13 So Joshua blessed Caleb, son of Jephunneh, and gave him Hebron as an inheritance. 14 Hebron belongs to the descendants of Caleb, son of Jephunneh, the Kenizzite, even now because he obeyed the Eternal God of Israel completely.

12 Now give me this hill country that the Lord promised me that day.(A) You yourself heard then that the Anakites(B) were there and their cities were large and fortified,(C) but, the Lord helping me, I will drive them out just as he said.”
13 Then Joshua blessed(D) Caleb son of Jephunneh(E) and gave him Hebron(F) as his inheritance.(G) 14 So Hebron has belonged to Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite ever since, because he followed the Lord, the God of Israel, wholeheartedly.(H)
