12 So now give me this hill country of which the Lord spoke on that day, for you heard on that day how the Anakim were there, with great fortified cities; it may be that the Lord will be with me, and I will drive them out, as the Lord said.”(A)
13 Then Joshua blessed him and gave Hebron to Caleb son of Jephunneh for an inheritance.(B) 14 So Hebron became the inheritance of Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite to this day, because he wholeheartedly followed the Lord, the God of Israel.

12 Now give me this hill country that the Lord promised me that day.(A) You yourself heard then that the Anakites(B) were there and their cities were large and fortified,(C) but, the Lord helping me, I will drive them out just as he said.”
13 Then Joshua blessed(D) Caleb son of Jephunneh(E) and gave him Hebron(F) as his inheritance.(G) 14 So Hebron has belonged to Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite ever since, because he followed the Lord, the God of Israel, wholeheartedly.(H)
