¹⁹ Now Pilate also wrote an inscription and put it on the cross. It was written: “^(A)JESUS THE NAZARENE, ^(B)THE KING OF THE JEWS.”

²¹ So the chief priests of the Jews were saying to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘^(A)The King of the Jews’; rather, write that He said, ‘I am ^(B)King of the Jews.’”
