¹¹ All his brothers, sisters, and former acquaintances^(A) came to his house and dined with him in his house. They sympathized with him and comforted him concerning all the adversity the Lord had brought on him. Each one gave him a qesitah^[a](B) and a gold earring.^(C)

⁵ “For this is what the Lord says: Don’t enter a house where a mourning feast is taking place.^[a] Don’t go to lament or sympathize with them, for I have removed My peace from these people”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“as well as My faithful love and compassion.^(A)
