²³ They waited for me as for the rain,
And opened their mouths as for the late rain.

^6 [a]May he come down ^(A)like rain upon the mown grass,
Like ^(B)showers that water the earth.

²³ So shout for joy, you ^(A)sons of Zion,
And ^(B)rejoice in the Lord your God;
For He has ^(C)given you ^[a]the early rain for your vindication.
And He has brought down for you the rain,
The ^[b]early and ^[c](D)latter rain ^[d]as before.
