⁷ The Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?” Satan answered the Lord and said, “^(A)From roaming about on the earth and walking around on it.”

¹¹ So they responded to the angel of the Lord who was ^(A)standing among the myrtle trees and said, “We have ^[a]patrolled the earth, and behold, ^(B)all the earth is ^[b]still and quiet.”

¹⁰ For who has shown contempt for the day of ^(A)small things? ^[a]But these ^(B)seven will rejoice when they see the ^[b](C)plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel—they are the ^(D)eyes of the Lord ^(E)roaming throughout the earth.”

⁵ The angel replied to me, “These are the ^(A)four spirits of heaven, going out after taking their stand before the Lord of all the earth, ⁶ with one of which the black horses are going out to the ^(B)north country; and the white ones are to go out after them, while the spotted ones are to go out to the ^(C)south country.” ⁷ When the strong ones went out, they ^[a]were eager to go to ^[b](D)patrol the earth. And He said, “Go, ^[c]patrol the earth.” So they ^[d]patrolled the earth. ⁸ Then He called out to me and spoke to me, saying, “See, those who are going to the land of the north have ^[e](E)appeased My wrath in the land of the north.”
