⁹ At the breath of God^(A) they perish;
    at the blast of his anger they are no more.^(B)

³⁰ He will not escape the darkness;^(A)
    a flame^(B) will wither his shoots,^(C)
    and the breath of God’s mouth^(D) will carry him away.^(E)

⁴ but with righteousness^(A) he will judge the needy,^(B)
    with justice^(C) he will give decisions for the poor^(D) of the earth.
He will strike^(E) the earth with the rod of his mouth;^(F)
    with the breath^(G) of his lips he will slay the wicked.^(H)

³³ Topheth^(A) has long been prepared;
    it has been made ready for the king.
Its fire pit has been made deep and wide,
    with an abundance of fire and wood;
the breath^(B) of the Lord,
    like a stream of burning sulfur,^(C)
    sets it ablaze.^(D)

⁷ The grass withers^(A) and the flowers fall,
    because the breath^(B) of the Lord blows^(C) on them.
    Surely the people are grass.
