⁹Their homes are safe and free from fear;^(A)
the rod of God is not on them.^(B)

⁹Their houses are safe from fear, neither is the rod of God upon them.

¹⁰Remove your scourge from me;
I am overcome by the blow^(A) of your hand.^(B)

¹⁰Remove thy stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of thine hand.

⁵They are free^(A) from common human burdens;
they are not plagued by human ills.

⁵They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.
