³⁴ Then I will cause to ^(A)cease from the cities of Judah and from the streets of Jerusalem the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride. For ^(B)the land shall be desolate.

⁹ For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: “Behold, ^(A)I will cause to cease from this place, before your eyes and in your days, the voice of ^[a]mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride.

¹⁰ Moreover I will ^[a]take from them the ^(A)voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, ^(B)the sound of the millstones and the light of the lamp.

^23 (A)The light of a lamp shall not shine in you anymore, ^(B)and the voice of bridegroom and bride shall not be heard in you anymore. For ^(C)your merchants were the great men of the earth, ^(D)for by your sorcery all the nations were deceived.
