The Good and the Bad Figs

24 After Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had deported Jeconiah^[a] son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, the officials of Judah, and the craftsmen and metalsmiths^(A) from Jerusalem and had brought them to Babylon, the Lord showed me two baskets of figs^(B) placed before the temple of the Lord.

²⁰ those Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon did not take when he deported Jeconiah^[a] son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, from Jerusalem to Babylon along with all the nobles of Judah^(A) and Jerusalem.

⁴ And I will restore to this place Jeconiah^[a] son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and all the exiles from Judah^(A) who went to Babylon’—this is the Lord’s declaration—‘for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.’”
