^25 (A)Pour out your wrath on the nations that know you not,
    and on the peoples that call not on your name,
^(B)for they have devoured Jacob;
    they have devoured him and consumed him,
    and have laid waste his habitation.

² “Thus says the Lord:
^(A)Behold, waters are rising ^(B)out of the north,
    ^(C)and shall become an overflowing torrent;
they shall overflow ^(D)the land and all that fills it,
    the city and those who dwell in it.
Men shall cry out,
    and every inhabitant of the land shall wail.
