⁴⁰ For this is what the Lord says:
“Behold, one will ^(A)fly swiftly like an eagle
And ^(B)spread out his wings against Moab.

¹⁹ Our pursuers were ^(A)swifter
Than the eagles of the sky;
They chased us on the mountains,
They waited in ambush for us in the wilderness.

8 ^(A)Put the trumpet to your ^[a]lips!
^(B)Like an eagle the enemy comes ^(C)against the house of the Lord,
Because they have ^(D)violated My covenant
And rebelled against My ^(E)Law.
