Then he blinded Zedekiah and put him in bronze chains to take him to Babylon.(A) The Chaldeans next burned down the king’s palace and the people’s houses and tore down the walls of Jerusalem.(B) Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guards,(C) deported the rest of the people to Babylon—those who had remained in the city and those deserters who had defected to him along with the rest of the people who remained.

Then he put out Zedekiah’s eyes(A) and bound him with bronze shackles to take him to Babylon.(B)

The Babylonians[a] set fire(C) to the royal palace and the houses of the people and broke down the walls(D) of Jerusalem. Nebuzaradan commander of the imperial guard carried into exile to Babylon the people who remained in the city, along with those who had gone over to him,(E) and the rest of the people.(F)
