New International Version

²he had Jeremiah the prophet beaten^(A) and put in the stocks^(B) at the Upper Gate of Benjamin^(C) at the Lord’s temple.

²Then Pashur smote Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that were in the high gate of Benjamin, which was by the house of the Lord.

³⁶Some faced jeers and flogging,^(A) and even chains and imprisonment.^(B)
