⁷ The instant I speak concerning a nation and concerning a kingdom, to ^(A)pluck up, to pull down, and to destroy it,

^8 (A)if that nation against whom I have spoken turns from its evil, ^(B)I will relent of the disaster that I thought to bring upon it.

¹⁸ When I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man ^(A)shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand.

¹⁹ Yet, if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; ^(A)but you have delivered your soul.

²⁷ Again, ^(A)when a wicked man turns away from the wickedness which he committed, and does what is lawful and right, he preserves himself alive.
