²² Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine,
who are fearless at mixing beer,^(A)

¹⁵ The head is the elder, the honored one;^(A)
the tail is the prophet, the lying teacher.^(B)

¹³ But look: joy and gladness,
butchering of cattle, slaughtering of sheep,
eating of meat, and drinking of wine—
“Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!”^(A)

¹² “Come, let me get some wine,
let’s guzzle some beer;
and tomorrow will be like today,
