⁴ For You have been a stronghold for the poor,
a stronghold for the needy^(A) person in his distress,
a refuge from the rain, a shade from the heat.^(B)
When the breath of the violent
is like rain against a wall,

⁷ The Lord is good,
a stronghold in a day of distress;
He cares for those who take refuge^(A) in Him.
