    all of you, to the housetops,

    of tumult and ^(C)trampling and ^(D)confusion
    in ^(E)the valley of vision,
a battering down of walls
    and a shouting to the mountains.

^13 (A)“Behold, I am against you, O inhabitant of the valley,
    O rock of the plain,
declares the Lord;
you who say, ^(B)‘Who shall come down against us,
    or who shall enter our habitations?’

¹⁴ Multitudes, multitudes,
    in the valley of decision!
For ^(A)the day of the Lord is near
    in the valley of decision.
