Isaiah 26:16

¹⁶O Lord, ^(A)in distress they sought you;
they poured out a whispered prayer
when your discipline was upon them.

New International Version

¹⁶Lord, they came to you in their distress;^(A)
when you disciplined^(B) them,
they could barely whisper^(C) a prayer.^[a]

¹²And when he was in distress, he entreated the favor of the Lord his God ^(A)and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers.

¹²In his distress he sought the favor of the Lord his God and humbled^(A) himself greatly before the God of his ancestors.
