13 O Jehovah our God, other lords besides thee have had dominion over us; but by thee only will we make mention of thy name. 14 [a]They are dead, they shall not live; they are [b]deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all remembrance of them to perish. 15 Thou hast increased the nation, O Jehovah, thou hast increased the nation; thou art glorified; [c]thou hast enlarged all the borders of the land.

13 Lord our God, other lords(A) besides you have ruled over us,
but your name(B) alone do we honor.(C)
14 They are now dead,(D) they live no more;
their spirits(E) do not rise.
You punished them and brought them to ruin;(F)
you wiped out all memory of them.(G)
15 You have enlarged the nation, Lord;
you have enlarged the nation.(H)
You have gained glory for yourself;
you have extended all the borders(I) of the land.
