7 Is this your joyous city, whose antiquity is [a]of ancient days, whose feet carried her afar off to sojourn?
8 Who hath purposed this against Tyre, the bestower of crowns, whose merchants are princes, whose traffickers are the honorable of the earth? 9 Jehovah of hosts hath purposed it, to [b]stain the pride of all glory, to bring into contempt all the honorable of the earth.

whose feet have taken her
to settle in far-off lands?
8 Who planned this against Tyre,
the bestower of crowns,

whose traders(C) are renowned in the earth?
9 The Lord Almighty planned(D) it,
to bring down(E) her pride in all her splendor
and to humble(F) all who are renowned(G) on the earth.
