9 (A)In that day their strong cities will be like the deserted places of the wooded heights and the hilltops, which they deserted because of the children of Israel, and there will be desolation.
9 In that day their strong cities, which they left because of the Israelites, will be like places abandoned to thickets and undergrowth.(A) And all will be desolation.
10 (A)For the fortified city is solitary, a habitation deserted and forsaken, like the wilderness;there the calf grazes; there it lies down and strips its branches.
10 The fortified city stands desolate,(A) an abandoned settlement, forsaken(B) like the wilderness;there the calves graze,(C) there they lie down;(D) they strip its branches bare.
