¹⁸ Then certain ones said, “Come, let’s make plans against Jeremiah,^(A) for instruction will never be lost from the priest,^(B) or counsel from the wise, or a word from the prophet.^(C) Come, let’s denounce him^[a] and pay no attention to all his words.”

¹⁰ Say to them, ‘This is what the Lord God says: This pronouncement concerns the prince^[a] in Jerusalem and the whole house of Israel living there.’^[b]
