^28 (A)Anyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy ^(B)on the evidence of two or three witnesses.

^30 (A)But the person who does anything with a high hand, whether he is native or a sojourner, reviles the Lord, and that person shall be cut off from among his people. ³¹ Because he has ^(B)despised the word of the Lord and has broken his commandment, that person shall be utterly cut off; his iniquity shall be on him.”

³ Your eyes have seen what the Lord did ^(A)at Baal-peor, for the Lord your God destroyed from among you all the men who followed the Baal of Peor.

^2 (A)“If there is found among you, within any of your towns that the Lord your God is giving you, a man or woman who does what is evil in the sight of the Lord your God, ^(B)in transgressing his covenant,

⁵ then you shall bring out to your gates that man or woman who has done this evil thing, and you ^(A)shall stone that man or woman to death with stones.

¹² The man who ^(A)acts presumptuously by not obeying the priest ^(B)who stands to minister there before the Lord your God, or the judge, that man shall die. So ^(C)you shall purge the evil from Israel.

^26 (A)“‘Cursed be anyone who does not confirm the words of this law by doing them.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
