^13 (A)And behold, the Lord stood above it and said: ^(B)“I am the Lord God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; ^(C)the land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants.

^9 (A)Then Jacob said, ^(B)“O God of my father Abraham and God of my father Isaac, the Lord ^(C)who said to me, ‘Return to your country and to your family, and I will deal well with you’:

³ Then let us arise and go up to Bethel; and I will make an altar there to God, ^(A)who answered me in the day of my distress ^(B)and has been with me in the way which I have gone.”

²³ But he said, “Peace be with you, do not be afraid. Your God and the God of your father has given you treasure in your sacks; I had your money.” Then he brought ^(A)Simeon out to them.

¹⁷ ‘Thus you shall say to Joseph: “I beg you, please forgive the trespass of your brothers and their sin; ^(A)for they did evil to you.” ’ Now, please, forgive the trespass of the servants of ^(B)the God of your father.” And Joseph wept when they spoke to him.
