²¹ I will ^(A)go down now and see whether they have done entirely as the outcry, which has come to Me indicates; and if not, I will know.”

⁸ So I have come down ^(A)to rescue them from the ^[a]power of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a ^(B)good and spacious land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of ^(C)the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

¹¹ and have them ready for the third day, for on ^(A)the third day the Lord will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.

The Lord Visits Sinai

^18 (A)Now Mount Sinai was all in smoke because the Lord descended upon it ^(B)in fire; and its smoke ascended like ^(C)the smoke of a furnace, and ^(D)the entire mountain ^[a]quaked violently.

²⁰ Then ^(A)the Lord came down on Mount Sinai, to the top of the mountain; and the Lord called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.
