¹⁸ On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, “I give this land to your offspring,^(A) from the Brook of Egypt^(B) to the great river, the Euphrates River: ¹⁹ the land of the Kenites, Kenizzites, Kadmonites, ²⁰ Hethites, Perizzites, Rephaim, ²¹ Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites, and Jebusites.”

³ stay in this land as an alien, and I will be with you and bless you.^(A) For I will give all these lands to you and your offspring,^(B) and I will confirm the oath that I swore to your father Abraham.^(C)

¹² I will give to you the land that I gave to Abraham and Isaac.^(A) And I will give the land to your future descendants.”

¹⁶ “Go and assemble the elders of Israel and say to them: The Lord, the God of your ancestors, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, has appeared to me and said: I have paid close attention to you and to what has been done to you in Egypt.^(A)

⁸ I will bring you to the land that I swore^[a](A) to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and I will give it to you as a possession. I am the Lord.”

The Tent Outside the Camp

33 The Lord spoke to Moses: “Go up from here, you and the people you brought up from the land of Egypt, to the land I promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying: I will give it to your offspring.^(A)

¹¹ ‘Because they did not remain loyal to me,^(A) none of the men twenty years old or more who came up from Egypt will see the land I swore to give Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob^(B)—

⁴ The Lord then said to him, “This is the land I promised Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, ‘I will give it to your descendants.’^(A) I have let you see it with your own eyes, but you will not cross into it.”

¹³ The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our ancestors,^(A) has glorified his servant Jesus, whom you handed over and denied before Pilate,^(B) though he had decided to release him.
