¹⁵ Look, I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go. I will bring you back to this land,^(A) for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”

⁹ Only don’t rebel against the Lord, and don’t be afraid of the people of the land, for we will devour them.^(A) Their protection^(B) has been removed from them, and the Lord is with us. Don’t be afraid of them!”

⁷ For the Lord your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands.^(A) He has watched over your journey through this immense wilderness. The Lord your God has been with you these past forty years, and you have lacked nothing.’^(B)

Rules for War

20 “When you go out to war against your enemies and see horses, chariots, and an army larger than yours,^(A) do not be afraid of them, for the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt,^(B) is with you.

¹⁷ We will obey you, just as we obeyed Moses in everything. Certainly the Lord your God will be with you, as he was with Moses.^(A)
