When he raised his eyes and looked, behold, three (A)men were standing opposite him; and when he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them and bowed down to the ground, and said, “[a]My Lord, if now I have found favor in Your sight, please do not [b]pass Your servant by. Please let a little water be brought and (B)wash [c]your feet, and make yourselves comfortable under the tree; and I will [d](C)bring a piece of bread, so that you may [e]refresh yourselves; after that you may go on, since you have [f]visited your servant.” And they said, “So do as you have said.”

Abraham looked up(A) and saw three men(B) standing nearby. When he saw them, he hurried from the entrance of his tent to meet them and bowed low to the ground.(C)

He said, “If I have found favor in your eyes,(D) my lord,[a] do not pass your servant(E) by. Let a little water be brought, and then you may all wash your feet(F) and rest under this tree. Let me get you something to eat,(G) so you can be refreshed and then go on your way—now that you have come to your servant.”

“Very well,” they answered, “do as you say.”
