¹² For before certain men came from James, ^(A)he was eating with the Gentiles; but when they came he drew back and separated himself, fearing ^(B)the circumcision party.

¹⁴ But when I saw that their ^(A)conduct was not in step with ^(B)the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas ^(C)before them all, “If you, though a Jew, ^(D)live like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you force the Gentiles to live like Jews?”

²⁸ And he said to them, “You yourselves know how unlawful it is for a Jew ^(A)to associate with or to visit anyone of another nation, but ^(B)God has shown me that I should not call any person common or unclean.
