⁹ But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be ^(A)known by God, ^(B)how is it that you turn back again to the weak and worthless ^[a](C)elementary principles, to which you want to be enslaved all over again?

^8 (A)See to it that there is no one who takes you captive through ^(B)philosophy and empty deception in accordance with human tradition, in accordance with the ^(C)elementary principles of the world, ^[a]rather than in accordance with Christ.

^20 (A)If you have died with Christ ^[a]to the ^(B)elementary principles of the world, ^(C)why, as if you were living in the world, do you submit yourself to ^(D)decrees, such as,
