^7 (A)Since the days of our fathers to this day we have been in great guilt, and because of our wrongful deeds we, our kings, and our priests have been handed over to the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, to plunder, and to ^[a](B)open shame, as it is this day.

⁴ And you shall say to them, ‘This is what the Lord says: “^(A)If you do not listen to Me, to ^(B)walk in My Law which I have set before you,

¹⁰ Yet they ^(A)have not become ^[a]contrite even to this day, nor have they feared, nor ^(B)walked in My Law or My statutes, which I placed before you and before your fathers.”’
